"Homeowners Call for Government Action to Revolutionize Home Security Market"

Homeowners Call for Government Action to Revolutionize Home Security MarketA recent study has revealed that over 90 percent of UK home sellers are calling for more security in transactions to prevent fall-throughs. The research from Home Sale Pack found that sellers believe the government is too focused on cost-saving initiatives for first-time buyers, rather than addressing the real issues in the selling process.

When asked about the government’s emphasis on first-time buyers, opinions were split, with 49 percent of sellers feeling that too much attention is given to this demographic. However, 51 percent believe the balance is just right.

The survey, which included 1,039 UK home sellers, also showed that the majority of sellers want more focus on addressing wider issues in the housing market rather than just cost-cutting exercises like stamp duty holidays. An overwhelming 93 percent of sellers agree that there needs to be more security and certainty in the transaction process to prevent sales from falling through.

Looking ahead, most sellers expressed a desire for the next government to prioritize security and certainty in the transaction process, followed by delivering more new homes to the market and speeding up transactions. Only a small percentage of sellers want to see an increase in cost-saving incentives for property buyers.

Ruth Beeton, Co-Founder of Home Sale Pack, emphasized the need for improvements in the transaction process to make homebuying more attractive and affordable for all. She highlighted the importance of reducing risk and inefficiencies in the market to encourage more people to engage in buying and selling homes, ultimately benefiting both buyers and sellers alike.
