A recent study has revealed that over 90 percent of UK home sellers are calling for more security in transactions to prevent fall-throughs. The research from Home Sale Pack found that sellers believe the government is too focused on cost-saving initiatives rather than addressing the real issues in the selling process.
When asked about the government’s emphasis on first-time buyers, opinions were split among sellers. While 49 percent feel that too much attention is given to first timers, 51 percent believe the balance is right.
The survey, which involved 1,039 UK home sellers, also showed that the majority of sellers want the government to prioritize security and certainty in the transaction process. In fact, 93 percent of respondents believe more security is needed to prevent sales from falling through after an offer has been accepted.
Ruth Beeton, Co-Founder of Home Sale Pack, emphasized the importance of improving the transaction process to make homebuying more attractive and affordable for all buyers. She highlighted the need for reducing inefficiencies and risks in the market to benefit both buyers and sellers.
