The video starts off as a typical nighttime scene around 10:15 pm, with everything dark and quiet. But suddenly, a long, thin ‘claw’ appears and grabs the camera, dragging it to the right without revealing the culprit.
“We always had the feeling we weren’t the only ones living there,” the woman shared on Facebook. “My mother set up a motion detector camera to investigate some strange noises, and this is what she captured. Any thoughts on what this could be?”
While some viewers suggested orbs or taps on the camera, others had more chilling theories like spiders or rodents. However, paranormal researcher Professor Chris French debunked the ghostly claims, suggesting a more mundane explanation.
According to Professor Sara Goodacre from the University of Nottingham’s Spider Lab, the camera movement could be attributed to a spider’s leg or silk line. She explained that many spider species could create similar images, especially in low light conditions.
So, before jumping to supernatural conclusions, it seems like this spooky kitchen footage might just have a simple explanation after all.
