“We always had the feeling we weren’t the only ones living there,” the woman shared on Facebook. “My mother set up a motion detector camera to investigate some strange noises, and this is what she captured. Any thoughts on what this could be?”
While some suggested it could be orbs or taps on the camera, others had more chilling theories like spiders or rodents. However, paranormal expert Professor Chris French debunked the ghostly claims, stating that it’s more likely to be something mundane rather than supernatural.
Further investigation revealed that the mysterious culprit could be a spider spinning silk across the camera’s view. Professor Sara Goodacre from the University of Nottingham’s Spider Lab explained that the vision is consistent with a spider’s leg and silk, making it a case of ‘utterly normal’ rather than paranormal.
