If you’ve ever watched Paranormal Activity, you know that home security cameras can capture some eerie sights at night. Recently, a woman’s kitchen footage has caused quite a stir online, with many believing she caught a ghost in action.
The video starts off like any other nighttime scene, but then a mysterious ‘claw’ suddenly grabs the camera and moves it to the right. The identity of the culprit remains a mystery.
“We always had the feeling we weren’t the only ones living there,” the woman shared on Facebook. “My mother set up a motion detector camera to investigate some strange noises, and this is what she captured.”
While some viewers suggested it could be orbs or taps from a ghost, others had more practical explanations like spiders or rodents. Leading paranormal researcher Professor Chris French weighed in, dismissing the ghost theory and suggesting a more mundane explanation.
Further analysis from Professor Sara Goodacre of the University of Nottingham’s Spider Lab revealed that the moving object could be a spider’s leg or silk line. In the end, it seems like a case of ‘utterly normal’ with no spooky ghosts involved.
