“Peterborough Police Capture Notorious Burglar Thanks to Home Security Footage”

Police have released security camera footage of a burglar who hit nine houses in one night. Sean Maher, 38, was caught on camera in Bretton, Peterborough, stumbling over a wheelbarrow and making his getaway on a stolen mountain bike. Maher, from Welford Place, Wittering, has been sentenced to three years in jail after admitting to multiple counts of burglary and vehicle interference. Detective Sergeant Rich Ellison described Maher as a repeat offender with a long history of similar crimes. “He went on a spree through Bretton, managing to break into two homes,” Ellison said.
