Police have released security camera footage of a burglar who hit nine houses in one night, and the video is quite the show! Sean Maher, 38, was caught on camera stumbling over a wheelbarrow, cruising around on a stolen mountain bike, and attempting to break into multiple homes in Bretton, Peterborough back in August 2023.
Maher, who hails from Welford Place, Wittering, has been sentenced to three years behind bars after admitting to seven counts of attempted burglary, two counts of burglary, and one count of vehicle interference.
Detective Sergeant Rich Ellison from Cambridgeshire Police described Maher as a repeat offender with a laundry list of 24 previous convictions for various crimes dating all the way back to 1999. Ellison stated, “He went on a house-to-house spree in Bretton one fateful night, managing to successfully break into two homes.”
