It allows you to easily arm and disarm the system, control smart home devices, and view live video feeds from the cameras. With an 8MP camera integrated into the system, it even captures a picture of the last person who disabled your alarm.
System App
The ADT+ App provides remote management of your home security. ADT also plans to integrate controls for third-party smart home products that use Matter, enabling control of compatible smart lights, thermostats, and other smart technologies.
ADT’s efficient contact sensors detect when entry points are opened or closed, while the passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors sense movement and ignore household pets. The wireless key fob includes a panic button for emergencies, ensuring ADT covers all bases.
Installation
The security system is professionally installed by ADT to ensure proper setup and optimal functionality. Once you make a purchase, ADT will schedule a technician to visit your home and install the devices. The installation process may take a few hours, depending on the size and complexity of your home.
In terms of customer support, ADT offers 24/7 phone support, email support, and live chat. However, our researchers found that the customer support team didn’t always have the answers to our questions and it took up to 10 minutes to get through on the phone. The live chat provided quicker responses.
With a standard subscription, you gain access to the ADT Remote Operating Centre, which conducts daily system checks to ensure optimal performance. Most technical issues can be resolved remotely. Depending on your chosen subscription level, you, your keyholders, the police, or a private security guard will be notified in the event of a security breach.
Our Verdict
The ADT Smart Home Alarm Package offers an advanced security solution that combines home automation and comprehensive protection.
