Hannah Finney was enjoying a day at the park in Little Melton with her two kids when her phone buzzed with a concerning notification. The footage from her home security system revealed a man in dark clothing lurking around her property on School Lane.
“It appeared that he entered the house because the camera didn’t show him leaving at any point,” Hannah shared. Feeling panicked, she sprinted home from the park, leaving her children on the driveway, fearing the man was still inside.
Although she didn’t find the intruder upon entering her home, Hannah was left feeling shaken. The next day, while she was out, she received another notification that the man had returned and explored further inside her home.
Thankfully, he was gone by the time she returned. The police confirmed the suspicious activity but found no evidence of entry or theft. “I barely slept for the next three or four days,” Hannah admitted.
With her husband often away for work, Hannah felt vulnerable and decided to invest over £600 in security equipment to feel safe in her own home. Her children, aged three years and 18 months, were her top priority in this unsettling situation.
