Hannah Finney was enjoying a day at the park in Little Melton with her two kids when her phone buzzed with a concerning notification. The footage from her home security system revealed a man in dark clothing peering into windows and lurking around the door.
“It seemed like he had entered the house because the camera didn’t capture him leaving,” Hannah shared.
Feeling panicked, Hannah rushed back home from the park, leaving her children on the driveway, fearing the intruder was still inside.
Although she didn’t find the man upon entering her house, Hannah was left feeling shaken. The next day, while she was out, she received another alert on her phone indicating that the man had returned.
“He explored a bit further the second time, but thankfully he was gone by the time I got back,” Hannah explained.
The police confirmed that a man was acting suspiciously outside her property, but thankfully, there was no evidence of him entering the house or taking anything from the garden.
“I barely slept for the next few days,” Hannah admitted. “It’s scary being home alone with my little ones, especially with my husband away for work.”
Hannah’s children are three years old and 18 months old. To feel more secure, they have invested over £600 in additional security equipment, although Hannah expressed disappointment that such measures were necessary to feel safe in their own home.
