TV host Holly Willoughby has left her £3million family home to put the nightmare of her kidnap plot behind her. Removal vans were spotted outside the property this week, just two months after security guard Gavin Plumb was jailed for his attempt to ambush the presenter at the house.
Plumb, who received three life sentences, had planned to sedate Holly and her husband Dan Baldwin after breaking into their home. He then intended to drive Holly to a remote location to be murdered. A source revealed, “The house was central to Plumb’s terrifying plot. It can never feel the same again for Holly and her family. She just wants to move on and put this all behind her.”
Removal men were seen at the six-bedroom house in London, where Holly has lived for over a decade. Holly ended her 14-year run on ITV’s This Morning after Plumb’s plot was uncovered last year. Plumb, who had an unhealthy obsession with Holly, had more than 10,000 images of her on his phone when he was arrested in Essex.
He had shared Google Earth images of her family home with potential accomplices and discussed plans to kidnap her. Plumb even accumulated a “kidnap kit” and researched Holly’s home in detail. He was sentenced to a minimum of 15 years in jail at Chelmsford crown court in July.
Holly, who previously shared photos of her home on social media, stated in court, “As women, we should not be made to feel unsafe going about our daily lives and in our own homes.” Despite the ordeal, Holly is looking forward to starting fresh in a new home.
