With data revealing a quarter of Brits believe they live in a haunted house, a ghost hunter is on the hunt for properties with paranormal activity.
Yvette Fielding, 55, stepped away from the TV show Most Haunted after hosting it for over a decade. She now works as a paranormal investigator and is looking for homes that may have an unwelcome guest this Halloween.
She is conducting a national search to find the UK’s most haunted home this spooky season. This comes after she analyzed eerie Ring footage of ‘flying objects and creepy orbs’ for ghostly tricks.
Ms. Fielding advised those who suspect they have a supernatural visitor to listen for unexplained knocking or ringing doorbells. Other signs may include ‘disembodied voices’, knocking, banging, and tapping sounds from walls, ceilings, or floors.
Haunted homes may also have the sound of footsteps, furniture moving on its own, or electrical appliances turning on and off. Water may flow unexpectedly from showers and taps, or mysterious puddles may appear.
Research from Ring showed that 57 percent of Brits have experienced unusual activity that could be paranormal. The top experiences include unexplained noises, ghost sightings of deceased relatives, random ghost sightings, and objects moving on their own.
Over a quarter of pet owners claim their animals have reacted to strange encounters in their homes. Despite many claiming they are not afraid of spooky activity, some would pay to have ghosts removed or even consider selling their home if it was proven haunted.
Dave Ward, Managing Director EU & International at Ring, mentioned that people use their devices to monitor paranormal activity at home. This Halloween, customers have the opportunity to have their property inspected for any spooky happenings by both Ring and Yvette.
