Sextortion scams are a dime a dozen, but a new one called “Hello Pervert” is taking things up a notch. These scammers are not only claiming to have control of your computer with spyware, but they’re also sending you a photo of your own home from Google Maps Street View. Talk about creepy!
But before you start panicking, rest assured that these scammers are not actually watching you. They’re just using information they already have to scare you into paying up. So, don’t fall for their tricks and definitely don’t send any money their way.
If you want to protect your privacy on Google Maps, you can ask them to blur out your home. Just follow these steps to keep your house off the map and out of the hands of these cyber-predators. Stay safe out there!
