Helping out your neighbor is usually a no-brainer, but sometimes things can get a little out of hand. One woman found herself in a sticky situation when her neighbor made a rather outrageous request and then proceeded to throw a tantrum when she couldn’t comply.
The woman had recently installed some outdoor cameras for extra security, and her nosy neighbor wanted in on the action. He asked her to adjust the camera angles so his house could be in view too. When she refused and suggested he get his own cameras, he threatened to report her to the Homeowner Association (HOA).
Luckily, the HOA had her back and confirmed she was within her rights to deny access to her cameras. The entitled neighbor was so upset that he decided to pull out of the neighborhood watch, claiming that neighbors weren’t looking out for each other.
Commenters on the post agreed with the woman, pointing out that giving access to the camera footage would be a major invasion of privacy. They suggested the neighbor should just buy his own cameras instead of trying to mooch off hers.
In the end, it seems like this neighborly relationship may be beyond repair. But hey, at least the woman’s privacy is still intact!
