Brave Security Guard Saves 11-Year-Old Girl from Knife Attack in Leicester SquareA hero security guard at a London shop shared how he bravely disarmed a knifeman after an 11-year-old girl was stabbed in Leicester Square. Abdullah, 29, recounted how he heard a scream and immediately sprang into action, jumping on the attacker and holding him down until the police arrived. “I just saw a kid getting stabbed and I just tried to save her. It’s my duty to just save them,” he said.

The square and its surrounding area attract millions of visitors each week and are home to a variety of shops, theatres, cinemas, and restaurants. The community’s quick action and solidarity in the face of danger exemplify the spirit of London.
