Prince Harry’s security level was up for debate in the UK, but now a High Court has made a decision on the matter. High Court judge Sir Peter Lane ruled against Prince Harry, who had challenged the decision to strip him of his security while visiting the UK.
The Duke of Sussex was not pleased with the decision that he no longer qualified for protection after moving to America with Meghan Markle in 2020. Despite winning the right to partially challenge the decision in July 2022, the judge ultimately found that there was no unlawfulness in the initial decision.
Following the ruling, King Charles was seen leaving his London home, shortly after Prince Harry lost his legal battle over his security. Harry’s spokesperson announced that he will be appealing the High Court decision, seeking fair and lawful treatment under Ravec’s rules.
The Home Office expressed their satisfaction with the court’s ruling against Prince Harry, stating that the UK Government’s protective security system is rigorous and proportionate. Despite the legal troubles, Harry has previously spoken about feeling unsafe when his security was removed during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2020.
In addition to his legal battles in the UK, Prince Harry is also facing potential deportation from the United States, according to former President Donald Trump. Trump stated that if he were re-elected in 2024, he would not protect Harry due to his actions against the Queen.
