A frightening incident unfolded in Adelaide as housemates were reportedly held hostage and robbed by three armed males wielding a sword, baseball bat, and metal pipe.
The residents described feeling like hostages as the intruders ransacked the home, taking a credit card and car keys. One resident recounted the threats made by the burglars, saying, “They said ‘I’ll hurt you, I’ll beat you, I’ll kill you’ and all that.”
The burglars, dressed in black and navy blue with balaclavas and gloves, were caught on a home security camera as they demanded gold and valuables from the housemates. The ordeal lasted about 30 minutes before the burglars fled through the backdoor they had broken in through.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
