A neighbor raised concerns about a corpse cleanup crew after capturing unsettling footage on her home security camera.
Summer Gates, who lives near a Nevada man found dead in a garage, recorded Clark County workers at the scene. The video showed Estate Investigators using a garden hose near where the man was discovered. Gates claimed that the deceased man’s bodily fluids were washed down the driveway and onto the street with just water.
In a Facebook post, Gates expressed her shock at the situation, stating, “Clark County rinsed my deceased neighbor’s body fluids down his driveway WITH WATER.” She also mentioned that the man had been found on cardboard after “rotting” for eight weeks.
After contacting the county multiple times, Gates filed a complaint with the Southern Nevada Health District. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Rita Reid, a Clark County Public Administrator, explained that workers were at the man’s home to secure his belongings properly. She clarified that an accidental misstep by a worker led to the rinsing of a shoe near where the deceased man was found.
Reid emphasized that the cleanup process was contained and that the department is cooperating fully with the health department’s investigation. A biohazard cleaning crew later sanitized the home’s driveway, rocks, and trash bin.
