A security guard with an unhealthy obsession has been found guilty of plotting to abduct, rape, and harm TV personality Holly Willoughby. Gavin Plumb, 37, was convicted after a jury unanimously agreed that he had planned a disturbing attack on the former This Morning presenter, whom he considered his “ultimate fantasy.” Plumb, who had a history of attacking women, was caught after revealing his plans to an undercover officer in an online chatroom.
Upon hearing the verdict, Holly Willoughby expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their swift response and to the brave individuals who spoke out against Plumb. The court heard how Plumb had meticulously planned his attack on Willoughby, purchasing items like shackles and chloroform in preparation.
Despite his claims that it was all just talk, Plumb’s actions were deemed a serious threat by the prosecution. His sentencing is scheduled for July 12.
