The trial against a security guard accused of plotting to kidnap, rape, and murder Holly Willoughby took a dramatic turn as photos of Gavin Plumb’s messy bedroom were revealed. The room was filled with food containers, clothes, and tools allegedly intended to harm the TV presenter.
During cross-examination, Plumb claimed he bought chloroform to remove a carpet stain, but the prosecution argues otherwise. Plumb denies soliciting murder, incitement to rape, and incitement to kidnap.
In a body-worn video, officers from Essex Police arrested Plumb, who expressed shock at the accusations. He later admitted to having a fantasy about Willoughby but insisted it was just online chat.
Plumb’s troubled past, including previous convictions for attempted kidnapping, was also brought up in court. He served time in prison and admitted to spending most of his time online after his release.
