"MP Takes Extreme Measures to Secure Home: Bulletproof Clingfilm Installed"

MP Takes Extreme Measures to Secure Home: Bulletproof Clingfilm InstalledTory MP Jonathan Gullis has taken some extreme security measures at his home, including using “bulletproof clingfilm” on his windows and installing panic alarms in his bedroom. Gullis, who has two young children, expressed his frustration, saying MPs “shouldn’t have to live like that.” This comes after a series of incidents where MPs, like Tobias Ellwood, have been targeted by protesters. Ellwood’s home was recently surrounded by pro-Palestine demonstrators.

In a recent interview with GB News, Gullis condemned the threats faced by MPs, emphasizing that there are appropriate channels for communication with them. He expressed his concern for the safety of his family and vowed to take action if necessary to protect them.

The incident at Ellwood’s home prompted a police response, with Operation Bridger, a security program for MPs, being put into effect. Demonstrators gathered outside Ellwood’s home, but no arrests were made, according to Dorset Police.

This is just one of many instances where MPs have faced threats and attacks. Frontbencher Mike Freer recently announced his resignation due to safety concerns. He has previously spoken about wearing stab-proof vests in public and the constant fear of being targeted.

The safety of MPs has become a growing concern, with many feeling the need to take drastic security measures to protect themselves and their families.
