
South Africa has long been associated with high levels of violent crime. However, recent data shows that crime rates have now reached a 20-year peak, encompassing various offenses such as murders, car hijackings, and cash-in-transit van robberies.
Despite an upcoming election, there is little indication that the government has effectively addressed the situation. Consequently, many individuals are resorting to private security measures rather than relying on the police.
